Dry Wax Paper
The go-to for food service and QSR applications where a clean, non-waxy look is a must.

What types of wax paper parent rolls does BSP offer?
We produce three types of wax paper: 1) dry wax for QSR and food service wrapping applications, 2) food prep paper for interleaving and flash-freeze processing, and 3) wet wax for consumer counter rolls and retail applications. All three are available in custom widths from 5″ to 60″+, a range of basis weights, and standard or alternative wax formulations including bio-based, beeswax, and plant-based options.
Can you customize wax paper rolls to fit our converting equipment?
Yes! In fact, it’s one of our core strengths. We custom slit parent rolls to widths as narrow as 5″, offer non-standard basis weights, and can engineer higher wet-strength formulations for demanding applications. What’s the difference between wax paper, OGR paper, and MG paper for food service packaging?
All three start with a machine-glazed (MG) base sheet, which is a specialty paper with one smooth side that can be printed on. Standard MG paper is used for applications like bakery bags and sandwich wraps, where a clean surface and good printability is needed. Wax paper takes MG a step further by adding a food-safe wax coating that creates a moisture barrier and non-stick surface that’s ideal for sandwiches, tacos, and bakery items where you want to retain moisture and prevent sticking. OGR (oil and grease resistant) paper is chemically treated to block oil and grease from penetrating the sheet entirely, making it the right choice for fried or high-grease foods like burgers, fries, and onion rings.
