General

Biorigin is the next generation of coated paper. BSP has stripped out traditional chemistry and "rebuilt the paper from the ground up," literally starting fiber and water, then adding bio-based chemistry to enhance the functionality of the grades. The result? The most sustainable paper grades in the specialty paper industry.
All of BSP’s products are developed and engineered to maximize performance and meet the unique objectives of sustainable companies, brands, and converters. Sustainability at BSP is built on four key pillars that encompass our holistic approach to paper-making: sourcing, protecting, functioning, and aligning. BiOrigin has an innovative in-line process to apply a thin, metered layer of wax to a base sheet of paper. The application method is an economical alternative to off-line processes commonly used in food packaging applications.

BiOrigin is the world leader in on-machine waxed paper and only papermaker in the world to apply wax directly to the paper as it is being made on the paper machine. This method is the most efficient method of making dry waxed paper grades.
